About Don Strong

Don Strong is a music producer, writer and performer based in Minneapolis.

Starting in New York City in the mid-1980’s as a writer/producer for Def Jam urban R&B artists, Don brings a unique mix of experience and musical perspective to current projects in new genres.

Now collaborating with artists in the singer-songwriter, acoustic pop,  Americana, and alternative folk music categories, Don’s recent projects include: The Grind (2020) by Songwriters Circle / Twin Cities, Space Between The Notes (2018) by alternative folk-rock band Zoe Says Go and Things You Cannot Measure (2017) by singer-songwriter Dave Dvorak in addition to production work with many other writer-performers such as Johanna Mathews, Mark Lickteig, Courtney Yasmineh and Jeff Alan Ross.
